# Bible Blast Design System

This is the rebuilt active design system for Bible Blast. It archives the previous purple-first system and replaces it with one final ministry-site system modeled after the organization and section rhythm of [clubs.awana.org](https://clubs.awana.org/) while using Bible Blast colors.

## Sources

- Bible Blast logo: `/Users/josh/Downloads/Favorite-Logo-with-Burst-copy-2.webp`.
- Local brand context: `wireframe/brain/design-context.md`.
- Local homepage copy available in this workspace: `website/website-copy/homepage-storybrand-rewrite.md`.
- Supporting program copy: `website/content/bible-biz-at-church-storybrand-copy.md` and `website/content/bible-biz-at-home-storybrand-copy.md`.
- Reference site structure supplied by the main agent from the live Awana Clubs page observed on 2026-04-30.

## Visual Direction

Bible Blast should feel credible to parents, grandparents, homeschoolers, and church directors before it feels playful to children. The system uses white section backgrounds by default, broad ministry-site spacing, restrained cards, clear form sections, and direct CTAs. Red carries the primary action, dark blue carries leadership, trust, and success states, gold highlights progress, and purple provides secondary atmosphere and accent.

## Voice Rules

- Lead with the adult guide's desired outcome: kids knowing God's Word and carrying it for life.
- Use clear ministry language: curriculum, Scripture memory, weekly rhythm, families, churches, homeschoolers.
- Keep CTAs direct: Get Your Free Sample, Shop Bible Blast, Watch Bible Blast in Action, Contact Bible Blast.
- Avoid carnival, comic, hype-heavy, or fear-heavy phrasing.
- Keep proof concrete and validate claims before publishing statistics.

## Gradients

Gradient tokens are included because downstream designs need a complete system, but their use is intentionally restrained. Prefer flat white or soft paper sections. Use the hero gradient only behind the first section, the CTA gradient only for high-priority conversion bands, the card gradient only as a subtle top warmth, and the transition gradient only between long white sections.

Forbidden gradient use: multi-color rainbow bands, decorative blobs, background orbs, animated gradients, and gradients behind dense body copy.

## Iconography

Use simple line icons or solid ministry-support symbols with 2px strokes, rounded joins, and restrained color. Icons should clarify navigation, curriculum steps, forms, or status. They should not become cartoon mascots. Lucide-style icons are a good substitution for production.

## Components

The component system includes buttons, links, labels, form fields, status panels, navigation, cards, steps, hero sections, split sections, feature grids, solution grids, process sections, audience grids, CTAs, and footer examples. Cards use 8px radius or less. Buttons use red for primary conversion, blue for secondary ministry actions, and outline/ghost styles for quieter paths.

## Caveats and Substitutions

- The requested `website/website-copy/homepage.md` and `website/website-copy/about-us.md` files were not present. The rebuild uses the available StoryBrand homepage rewrite and program copy instead.
- The Awana Clubs reference is used only for organization, rhythm, seriousness, and component logic. No Awana assets, brand colors, or proprietary visuals are included.
- Typography is inferred from the desired tone and uses local/system fonts. A licensed brand font can replace the stack later.
- Original support SVG assets in `assets/` are placeholders for visual language, not finished campaign artwork.

## Known Gaps

- Confirm exact public claims before use: years of curriculum, age ranges, group size support, and product URLs.
- Confirm whether Bible Blast wants a formal church-director lead form matching the Awana-style sample form.
- Replace support artwork with commissioned photography or brand-approved classroom/home imagery when available.
